Hi all,
I'm trying to setup Thunar so that it can automount MTP devices. As I remember, I need gvfs-mtp for this. However, installing gvfs almost entirely breaks my system. After installing gvfs, if I try to run thunar, I cannot run thunar again until I reboot the machine. Weirdly, if I install gvfs, uninstall gvfs, I can start thunar without rebooting.
Trying to start thunar from the terminal results in no output (with gvfs installed). However, it does start as normal if run as superuser (with gvfs installed). Also, If I restart my computer with gvfs installed, lightdm will not start. If I uninstall gvfs, and reboot everything works fine.
The only error I've been able to find is the output when I install gvfs:
[user@hostname ~]$ sudo pacman -S gvfs

Pretty certain this is isolated to my install. My only guess is corrupted libraries? Not too sure where to start. Any ideas?
