Qt 5.12 Rebuild Non-stop Flickering

After upgrading all of the packages in the Qt 5.12 rebuild from 2018-12-06, KDE windows will flicker non-stop whenever the cursor moves over them. This makes my desktop environment completely unusable.

I'm not sure exactly which package is the problem here, but I moved off of the [testing] repos and downgraded my system to get my desktop working for now.

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm using an NVIDIA graphics card with the open source nouveau driver.

No issues running KDE on a Ryzen 2400G using the integrated Vega graphics with amdgpu kernel driver.

Re: Qt 5.12 Rebuild Non-stop Flickering

I have seen this from time to time on my machines with nouveau drivers. In the KDE systemsettings try to fall back to Xrender instead of OpenGL as Compositor output module. This always has helped me around this problem. If you can't change the setting because of screen flickering try editing ~/.config/kwinrc and set Backend=XRender instead of OpenGL
