Hey guys,
I got a new server and I thought it would be a good idea to just pop out the hard drives from my old one, slam them into the new machine and power it up. But it's not that easy...
When I try to boot the new server, I get this error:
starting version 239
[timestamp] sd 6:0:0:0 [sdc] No Caching mode page found
[timestamp] sd 6:0:0:0 [sdc] Assuming drive cache: write through
[timestamp] BTRSF error (device sdb1): failed to read the system array: -5
[timestamp] BTRSF error (device sdb1): open_ctree failed
mount: /new_root: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
You are now being dropped into an emergency shell.
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
[rootfs ]#I can't do any keyboard inputs at this point so I can't do anything.
Kernel version: 4.14.88
(same behaviour at 4.19.x)
Hard drives:
2 SSDs in btrfs RAID 1
2 HDDs in btrfs RAID 1
I checked my grub config: the UUID there is identical to the UUID of both of my btrfs system partitions. In the fstab all partitions are mounted via labels. If I put the drives back into my old server, the system boots just fine.
What am I doing wrong?

Boot the fallback initramfs and regenerate the default initramfs.
