[SOLVED] Graphically messed up my GTK / Openbox...

Hello everybody,

a few months back I have made a huge update with pacaur -Syua, there was some conflict, and I just deleted the files with pacman -R which were responsible for the conflict do proceed with the download ... since then my graphics are totally messed up. I'm using GTK in Openbox, and the problem is, that I don't know what exactly I have deleted which caused this.

The main problem is that many "symbols" are just missing. This happens on Firefox and Chromium, but not on Chrome. You can see that pretty well on the ImgBB page but also YouTube is a huge mess, just as many other websites. Also, I have used this laptop to type in Chinese for years, which is also not working. I can't display Chinese anymore, I can type it, but the characters are not previewed anymore in the IME. But I haven't deleted / touched anything language related ... any idea which gtk dependency might be missing here?

Post your pacman log.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Slithery, thank you for your reply. So silly of me to not think of checking the pacman.log. I found the file that I deleted. It was webkit2gtk. It had geoclue2 as dependency which didn't want to install, so I used --force and installed both of them and now it's all working again.
