rxvt-unicode 7.8 segfaults

I run urxvtd When i open several urxvtc's and then close few of them daemon segfaults and i lose all terminals. That's scary! :shock:

Anyone experience same behaviour?

hmmm... i can't replicate this. i started the daemon, and then four clients. i tried typing exit in them, and i tried closing via the WM. all the other clients still work.

i occasionally consider using the daemon/client feature of urxvt, but the standard terminal starts quick enough on my machine.

try doing more clients then. Neotuli said on irc it took more on his system.

It didn;t happen on 7.7 to me and a rebuild of 7.8 doesn't fix it. Typing exit in a client seems to trigger it faster then closing one by clicking the windowmanagers closing button. I drag that to the urxvt mailing list.

rxvt-unicode was having issues for me too and .Xdefaults file.

I got fed up and installed rxvt-unicode-cvs from one of the many repos. It works normally, like it should.

Well, then you should check when your -cvs version was built. I bet it is a pre 7.8 release.
