Apply gensplash to all "tty"s ?

How to apply gensplash to all consoles?

Simply modify the grub menu to "console=tty1,tty2.." ?

If I recall correctly, there was some config file in gensplashutils package where you could set up on which consoles it should be active.

fluke - ithink the problem you have is that you have not set a CONSOLEFONT as the install script advises and so the background is only showing on TTY1.  If that's not the case then look in conf.d/gensplash - there you can extend the backgrounds beyond TTY6.

Re: Apply gensplash to all "tty"s ?

I don't know where to set CONSOLEFONT. sad

I tried to start gensplash. But tty2 won't never be themed, but tty3-6 is sometimes ok.

Now, I try again.

:: Setting gensplash console images [DONE]

Strange! This time all ttys except tty3 are themed, tty3 is still black.

I try the last time before I post the thread. Now I's tty2's turn to be black. I don't know why.

Hey it works well for me now!

You're right dtw! I set a CONSOLEFONT.

But I don't really know why. I'll try to find answer from the wiki, but now I need a good sleep first wink
