Nodejs 10.14,2

Hi,

I've installed node 10 via nvm but when I try to use it I get `Segmentation fault (core dumped)`.

Anyone else using node 10.14.2 with nvm?

Have you tried installing nodejs-lts-dubnium from the community repository?

If someone else's prebuilt binaries don't work, then it's likely not arch-specific. But if you don't show us the stack trace (e.g. using coredumpctl) then we will never know...

nvm install lts/dubnium [7d12h35m] M
Local cache found: $NVM_DIR/.cache/bin/node-v10.14.2-linux-x64/node-v10.14.2-linux-x64.tar.xz
Checksums match! Using existing downloaded archive $NVM_DIR/.cache/bin/node-v10.14.2-linux-x64/node-v10.14.2-linux-x64.tar.xz
nvm is not compatible with the npm config "prefix" option: currently set to ""
Run `nvm use --delete-prefix v10.14.2` to unset it.
exit code: 11

Have you tried to reset the prefix (it seems to be empty):

npm config set prefix $NVM_DIR/versions/node/v10.14.2

nvm is an AUR package, maybe you should try to install the LTS version (see eschwartz answer) from the community repository and not with nvm.

Installing via pacman is not an option as I need to run multiple versions of node on my machine.

Can you try with

nvm use --delete-prefix v10.14.2

If it still doesn't work, run the following commands and post the results

nvm debug
which npm
npm config get prefix
