Hi @ all
I was searching a good lighgweight texteditor, and found scite.
I think this is the editor I will use, but scite do not store my perferences eg view toolbar or show line numbers or the size of the window...
Cay anyone help?
Have you tried to turn it off and on again?

that's because global settings are located in /usr/share/scite/ and only root has write access on these files. You can manually edit them with nano as root or you can start scite using sudo, and make the changes.
EDIT: I make changes through Options/Open Global Options File.

Why scite doesn't save such properties in /home is beyond me. Also i suspect there's something with this package, because when i open up a new tab, the first tab loses it's content, even though it's there...

I tried to execute a python application i am working on, and it just crashed when i executed it (edit - geany that is...).
Seems nice otherwise, but the GUI is butt ugly.
Thanks anyway. I'll probably just make a package for scite 1.71 with some changes instead.

I know how to edit the properties file. It's the "hide the text in all other tabs when you open a new tab" "feature" (!) i'm not really keen of
This is a bug, and i don't think i can turn this bug off in the properties file...

I just changed pkgver=1.70 to pkgver=1.71 in the PKGBUILD and tabs work as they should.
Also, you can overide settings in Global Options file with putting them in User Options file, which you can of course edit as a normal user :oops:
This is the relevant lines you would put into User Options (Options menu);
toolbar.visible=1
line.margin.visible=1
@fk - Can i suggest you put [solved] in thread title?
