Hi.
Laptop: Lenovo B590
Wifi chip: BCM4313 (rev 01)
Kernel driver: bcma-pci-bridge
I can connect to wifi properly, can ping google.com and everything is fine,
but when I download a large package (e.g firefox, approximately 300Mb with depencies) it downloads a few parts, then wifi breaks. "Breaks" means no more "ping google.com" (Temporary failure in name resolution), no more firefox downloading. So if you guys know anything about that, let me know. Ask for any logs.
Dmesg: Clbin
Thanks in advance!

So, how are you managing your network?

So, how are you managing your network?
Using netctl-auto. I have a simple profile. I may post it if you need.

So what is printed to the journal when it drops?

Output using wpa_supplicant (just wanted to test it): https://clbin.com/JdslN
Let me drop it and I'll tell you.. You mean journalctl, right?

Okay it managed to download firefox o_O
Believe it or not, I can't break it at the moment.
I'm going to send the whole journalctl then?
Offline
No, when it breaks, you paste the journal entry for your netctl instance, not the whole journal.
Offline
Oh finally it's broken. What logs do you need?

No, when it breaks, you paste the journal entry for your netctl instance, not the whole journal.
I am sorry I am a bit confused. What command do I execute?

1. This isn't failbook: don't keep bumping the thread every time a new thought pops into your head. There is an edit button. Use it; judiciously.
2. journalctl -xn Read the systemd wiki page for filtering output.

journalctl _PID=486 may provide more information about why it stopped at 22:20:35
You could also try another network manager, to determine if the issue is with netctl.

No, nothing interesting in _PID=486

As far as I've noticed, NetworkManager (chosen as an alternative) provides a much faster WIFI connection. Will test more.

After some time, NetworkManager also loses connection. The step you have described, unfortunately, had no effect

The problem has been solved after installing the following driver: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/br … roadcom-wl
Thanks everyone for help!
