How to find out which packages were installed recently in descending order?
Need a way without wrapping pacman and creating a sh script.

The information you want is in /var/log/pacman.log
For example, on the desktop where I'm currently working:
$ grep installed /var/log/pacman.log | tail
[2018-12-12 13:38] [ALPM] installed asciiquarium (1.1-5)
[2018-12-17 11:17] [ALPM] installed tmux-xpanes (3.1.0-1)
[2018-12-17 11:18] [ALPM] installed tmux-xpanes (3.1.0-1)
[2019-01-02 10:02] [ALPM] installed pacman-contrib (1.1.0-1)
[2019-01-03 05:49] [ALPM] installed libxdg-basedir (1.2.0-4)
[2019-01-03 05:49] [ALPM] installed dunst (1.3.2-1)
[2019-01-03 15:34] [ALPM] installed lsof (4.91-1)
[2019-01-07 10:15] [ALPM] reinstalled dunst (1.3.2-2)
[2019-01-07 10:15] [ALPM] reinstalled libnotify (0.7.7-2)
[2019-01-09 17:41] [ALPM] reinstalled dell-mgmtstat (8.5-1)Presumably by "descending order" you mean descending by date, not descending lexically or descending by version number, so the log is already in the order you want.

Okay, problem solved
