After some time i tried to run steam and run in following error
OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display
OpenGL GLX extension not supported by displayMain.cpp (332) : Assertion Failed: Fatal Error: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display
Main.cpp (332) : Assertion Failed: Fatal Error: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display

ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/$LIB/libgpg-error.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.Steam was running before absolutely fine. So I wanted to check glxinfo.
name of display: :0
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfigXorg has this error in its log
[ 33.582] (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (libsensors.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
[ 33.582] (EE) AIGLX error: unable to load driver swrast
[ 33.582] (EE) GLX: could not load software rendererNow what I got from the internet is, that the error in journalctl is out of my hands, "bad luck". I dont quite understand why the GLX is broken with the downgrade.

Did you actually downgrade all packages involved in the update? Post your entire /var/log/pacman.log you likely missed a few, or the freeze lead to data corruption you might want to post/check
pacman -Qkkwait, on rereading, did you downgrade just mesa? That can easily lead to issues. FWIW I'd suggest you update everything again, but install/switch to linux-lts to get a working amdgpu, as I don't think mesa is at fault here.

yes i just downgraded the mesa packages. Gonna try the lts kernel.
Works perfectly fine with the lts kernel and newest mesa driver. Thanks!

Ok some important information regarding the AMD Ryzen form this German Lenovo board. https://thinkpad-forum.de/threads/21755 … ost2176002
boot parameters: ivrs_ioapic[32]=00:14.0 ivrs_ioapic[33]=00:00.1 libata.force=1:nohrst iommu=pt
ivrs_ioapic: corrected IOMMU addresses in BIOS
libata.force: No hardware reset at the SATA controller. So you can get your system out of suspend
iommu=pt: pass through for iommu, without this option X doesn't work since kernel 4.20.0
I am on the current kernel again with newest mesa and X as well as steam are working properly.
