Yesterday, my HDMI monitor for my laptop was working fine. I shut down the laptop, turned it back on later and installed Mixxx (without the external monitor), then turned it off again.
The next morning, I turn on my laptop with my monitor plugged in, and nothing shows up. The monitor doesn't detect any signals. My VGA monitor works just fine. I uninstall Mixxx, no dice. I do a system update, still not working.
I don't think I've installed anything that would give me this issue. I certainly haven't done anything to do with my displays. I tried my laptop with a different HDMI cable, a different monitor all together, and tried the suspect monitor with a different laptop, which worked. So the issue isn't the monitor or the cables. I'm really hoping it's not a hardware issue.
I'm running Arch on a HP G4 250 with an i5-6200U and HD Graphics 520.

A xorg.log and a dmesg after a few plug-in/-out attempts would be interesting

When I tried plugging in the monitor a few times, nothing showed up on dmesg. So I shut down my laptop so I could start it up again and get a fresh log after lunch. I came back, turned it on and the monitor seems to be working again. I have no idea why.
This isn't really solved, but I can't seem to reproduce the issue anymore... I'll check back with the logs if it happens again
