Errors during package install -- <directory> exists in filesystem

Running:

$ pacman -Su ansible

Sampled output:

python-pyasn1: /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/pyasn1/type/tag.py exists in filesystem
python-markupsafe: /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/markupsafe/__pycache__/_constants.cpython-37.pyc exists in filesystem
python-jinja: /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/jinja2/__pycache__/environment.cpython-37.pyc exists in filesystem

Investigating:

$ pip3 freeze | grep jinja # nothing
$ pacman -Ql | grep jinja # nothing

Possibly relevant:
I've installed a handful of python packages with..

~/Downloads/foo $ python setup.py install

though that doesn't include any of those mentioned above. Is it possible that jinja2/pyasn1/markupsafe were pulled in as dependencies, and that explains why they are untracked by pip and pacman?

Re: Errors during package install -- <directory> exists in filesystem

Been using pip as root? That would do it, too. Error is covered on the pacman wiki page.

Considering this sample:

Does the file /usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/markupsafe/_constants.py exist on the filesystem?

If so, why did you report incomplete error messages?
