Piping sound from aplication to aplication

Hi to everyone:

Using Arch Linux with KDE, and have Pulse Audio installed.

Sound works fine:

Issue:

I would like to pipe sound from one application to another, and them probably to another, but only hearing the output of the last application on the chain, so piping audio between applications.

For example, piping sound from gqrx to mulimon-ng and only hear the multimon-ng output.

If using pavucontrol I can say that multimon-ng can monitor the output of gqrx, but in this case I hear both the outputs for the applications.

Is any other way to achieve this?

Re: Piping sound from aplication to aplication

You can create null sinks with pulseaudio and then assign applications to send audio to them and monitor them.

$ pactl load-module module-null-sink sink_name=multimon-target sink_properties=device.description="multimon-target"

Ok, thanks, I'm going to have a look on this.
