Hello. I followed this guide on how to toggle your numlock on startup https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ac … _on_Bootup and now when I boot, I don't get a login prompt. What can I do to fix this? What may be causing the problem, because I have no idea. I can't do anything. When I boot it just presents me with a completely empty terminal and no login prompt, just a flashing cursor. I tried switching terminals with CTRL+ALT+F* but it flashes me the login prompt for a split second and then just displays the flashing cursor like before.
Thanks in advance

You can change your target on the kernel line, or chroot and undo the damage. In any event, please describe which approach you followed on that page.

Thanks for the quick response. I followed the extending getty service way. I edited them both (the services) through systemctl edit /unit/.
Am trying to login through chroot right now

Okay, so I got the other tty's working now. There was a mistake in getty@.service, I put a '>' instead of a '<'. But now the first tty just freezes while booting.
I deleted the getty@tty1.service conf file and everything seems to be working again. Strange

You can read the journal for the failed boot to determine what went wrong.
