Hi,
I'm having trouble getting WebGL working with Firefox on my Dell 9550.
I'm using the onboard Intel graphics for everything:
lspci -vgets me:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 530 (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
DeviceName: Onboard IGD
Subsystem: Dell XPS 15 9550
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 127
Memory at db000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M]
Memory at 70000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
I/O ports at f000 [size=64]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at 000c0000 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: <access denied>
Kernel driver in use: i915
Kernel modules: i915Following the Intel Graphics wiki page (and a similar question here), I've got an
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conffile containing:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
Option "TearFree" "true"
Option "DRI" "3"
EndSectionBut http://webglreport.com/ is still saying WebGL is "Supported but disabled or unavailable".
I've tried the fix mentioned here. Also no luck.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Bump.
It seems possible that hardware acceleration is disabled system-wide. Any ideas on how I might verify this?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Install mesa-demos run
glxinfo | grep OpenGL. You might also want to post your xorg log. Educated guess, when the question came up on which libgl provider to install you simply hit enter and have now installed nvidia-340xx-utils as opposed to libglvnd. Remove the former install the latter reboot.

Noticed the same on radeon HW with ff65. No idea if firefox is to blame or mesa broke it. It used to work.

Apologies for the bump.

This was spot on. That's almost certainly what I did. Thanks very much!
Marking as solved.
