Multiple "X-Windows Screens" on one physical Monitor? (Single Display)

Hello,

I've been using Arch for a few months and it's really fantastic!

Yesterday, I finally got my hands on the new Dell 49" Ultrawide (5120 x 1440) display that I ordered for Christmas... Yep, shipping this beast took forever...

The screen is big enough to be broken up into 3 separate screens... Maybe something like:

Left: 1700 x 1440
Middle: 1720 x 1440
Right: 1700 x 1440

This way the KDE Plasma "Quarter Tiling" functions would work great, and my desktop icons would be on my "center screen"...

I found this post that seems to be talking about what I'm trying to do, but I wasn't able to make sense of it:

That should mostly work with xrandr 1.5, at least my i3 arranges the workspaces correctly on my laptop display. You have to set all additional monitors without an assigned output, though.

$ xrandr --listmonitors
Monitors: 1

$ xrandr --setmonitor left 683/170x768/190+0+0 LVDS
$ xrandr --setmonitor right 683/170x768/190+683+0 none

Of course I checked the Wiki for:
