For several weeks I can't log in on tty1, not as a user, not as root. After entering my password I have to log in again. Searching for 'login loop' hasn't resulted in a solution. I can login on tty2. After I started X, I noticed I can login as another user or as root on tty1. It may be just a coincidence, but the problem appeared after I installed Console TDM and removed it again and reversed the changes I made according to the Console TDM wiki. Somewhere I must have made a mistake, but I can't figure out where to look. So, I welcome any suggestion.
