Thinkpad :: Kernel 4.20.* - mute led is not functional

I have a USB stick with kernel 4.19.2 - and when I press Fn-F1 that triggers the led on F1 just fine.

I have exactly the same system but with the newer kernel ( 4.20.6-arch1-1-ARCH ) - and leds are not lit when mute is in effect.

There is the thread which seem to explain this by a problem in the kernel, but I'm not sure whether it is the case.

Does anyone have the same problem on ThinkPads with Arch and recent kernel?

acpi_listen recognizes the button just fine
