Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

I'm using Kde and I was testing wayland. By inserting an external monitor into my laptop, KDE was crashing. After that I changed the X session of KDE and it lowered the resolution to 960x540. I'd like some help, thank you.

Re: Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

I have momentarily solved so, although I do not remember perfectly whether the resolution was this.

xrandr --newmode "1280x720_60.00"   74.50  1280 1344 1472 1664  720 723 728 748 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --addmode LVDS1 1280x720_60.00
xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1280x720_60.00

Re: Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

a) please don't bump but edit your post unless somebody has responded
b) please post an xorg log and the output of "xrandr -q"

Re: Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

a) please wrap file contents and shell output on code tags
b) that's not a sane xorg log, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg#General
c) this seems to be an optimus system? which approach do you intend to follow?

Re: Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

The command: grep -e Log -e tty Xorg.0.log does not return anything. I made you a copy of the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log but I saw that there is also Xorg.8.log in the same folder.

It is an optimus with bumblebee.

Sincerely I do not know what to do. For now I have put an acceptable resolution as written above.

Here is the content of Xorg.8.log:

Re: Wrong screen resolution, reduced.

Xorg.8.log is from a (successful) optirun on last x-mas.

The "log" you posted in comment #4 is from a futile attempt to run a second X11 server on display :0 - if you're currently running a graphical session, that's not the adjacent log.
How do you start the graphical session? startx, sddm, gdm, …?
