there are online dictionaries just as good (ie BabelFish) and they dont take space on your HDD!
the thing i like about ArchLinux is that its lightweight.

Not all the people have persistent connection, and anyway you are not obliged to install the package

Yes but you can download it from the office and take it at home by a cdrom.
I think also to laptops not always you have an internet connection.
alexthelion, this is the good opportunity to try to make a package by yoursel and then submit it to the comunity. Just follow some simple rule, is very easy.
