Hi all,
I am newbie with about a month under my belt working with Arch coming from Mint Linux. I am still new to Linux in general. I am trying to get my VBox setup like I had in mint with the ability to have a shared folder. In Mint I was able to install guest additions from within my guest session and it worked without a hitch. I have VBox working fine but I do not have a Devices option in my toolbar and I cannot do the iso install. I have read the Wiki that states all I need is the virtualbox-host-modules-arch module which I have installed. I cannot get the shared folder going for the life of me and I need assistance.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks in advance.

Is Arch the host or the VM?
Sakura:-

Arch is the host....
I am on kernel 4.20x, but I have not installed the oracle module could that be it?
Also my screen resolution is not at FHD for some reason but that is a less pressing issue.

You'll have to install the virtualbox-guest-iso package on the arch host. You need to have a virtual cd/dvd driver set up in your VM configuration as well.

OK
That appears to have worked. I added an optical drive and mapped to the iso and installed. Now I can see my shared folder.
Thanks for the help!
I did have one more quick question... Do I need to install any additional packages to make MS Office display properly? I get the feeling the the guest OS is struggling to render my screen? I see black boxes which will only populate if I click in the region and i guess force an update. My screen resolution is off but I think this is a separate issue.

extension packs "virtualbox-ext-oracle" from the AUR, and "virtualbox-ext-vnc" from mainline repos might help, else check the Display settings.
EDIT: vnc extension pack is for remote connections, unrelated.
