Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

How is it I have been using Arch for over a year now and I didn't know about this?

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

Users can configure sudo to display clever insults when an incorrect password is entered instead of printing the default "wrong password" message. Find the Defaults line in /etc/sudoers and append "insults" after a comma to existing options. The final result might look like this:
#Defaults specification
Defaults insults
To test, type sudo -K to end the current session a let sudo ask for the password again.

from the sudo page in the wiki.

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

Yes, I've been telling sudo to insult me for a year. I don't mistype my password often, but when I do, I have something to make me smile smile

I didn't know about the ILoveCandy option, I set it now. When updates hit, I'll keep an eye out.

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

Nmap with "script-kiddie-preprocessor" output.

nmap -oS - scanme.nmap.org

Not Arch related, but still fun.

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

This is a pretty shitty easter egg but check it out anyway. Try "cat /usr/share/libcaca/caca.txt"

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

This is more of a sudo easter egg, but in your sudoers file if you put in "defaults insults" it will insult you every time you mistype a password ( which is like every time for me)

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

If we're going for general easter eggs, I enjoy this one in Python:

from __future__ import braces

Re: Easter eggs in Arch?

Also nice:

from __future__ import barry_as_FLUFL
1 != 2

Or:

import antigravity
