no notebookbar in libreoffice

hello all,

I am using extra/libreoffice-fresh 6.2.0-2, plasma 5, my arch linux is up to date
I follow the  information found on internet to activate the notebookbar https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Dev … otebookBar

Enable experimental features: in Tools ▸ Options... ▸ LibreOffice ▸ Advanced check Enable experimental features (may be unstable).

To show the Notebookbar, select View ▸ Toolbar layout ▸ Notebookbar.

except that I cannot see Toolbar Layout in the view menu

I have tried on writer, calc and base

any clue on how to activate this ribbon ?

Re: no notebookbar in libreoffice

The LO guys don't seem to have updated that page to reflect that 6.2 make the notebookbar available standard.

This article from OMG Ubuntu! (don't judge) is pretty good:

https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2019/02/lib … 2-features

There seem to be three flavors of notebookbar (none called notebookbar because reasons), named "Contextual," "Tabbed" and "Groupbar" (with subcategories of "Single" or "Compact").

They can be accessed under View ▸ User Interface. Not sure if you need to activate the Experimental stuff anymore.

As a warning, if you are using a dark icon theme and corresponding dark Firefox theme, some of the layouts will not honor the Firefox theme (at least not on my box). White-on-white icons. Magic!

Regards,
