MySQL Workbench not working on KDE (org.freedesktop.secrets issue)

Hello my dear collegues,
I'm working on a database (mariaDB as server) and I need to use MySQL Workbench.
The problem is that I cannot create a connection to my DB due to this error when creating the connection:

The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files

I've done an extensive search and I've found these bug reports:

and
https://github.com/frankosterfeld/qtkeychain/issues/99

I've read that to solve this issue I should install gnome-keyring, but first I'd like some advices from you (I'm using KDE).

Well, what do you want to hear? I'm also on KDE, have gnome-keyring installed and don't have any issues. What else do you want to know?

Well, what do you want to hear? I'm also on KDE, have gnome-keyring installed and don't have any issues. What else do you want to know?

Well, I was hoping for a patch to avoid installing gnome-keyring, but that's fine anyway, thanks

I had the same problem, just installed gnome-keyring and solved
