Since latest update to 6.2.0.3 I cannot cut/paste from libreOffice Calc to another application, say Kate or Firefox.

I can Copy/Paste wihin Calc but when I try to paste from calc to another application nothing happens.

Re: LibreOffice Calc 6.2.0.3 (KDE) - Copy/Paste

Well it appears I can if I click in the cell and then copy from the Input Line (Below the tool bars)

So its coping and pasting the cell that fails, although this used to work just fine.

I'm having the same issues on Writer.  Libreoffice seems to have lost the capacity to copy to clipboard.

It will be fixed in 6.2.1. For now, use a different VCL

I confirm the same issue in Writer. DE is KDE.

Any suggestions on which one to choose. I've tried  kde5 and qt5 to no discernible effect.

Also the back key doesn't work if you are trying to edit the content of a cell. Del key works fine.

A GTK variant, the bug is in the just released qt5 version whether you use kde or qt5 will not make a difference (there are minor KDE additions that are irrelevant to the inherent qt5 issues)

I'm from LibreOffice QA team. I wish distro packagers (especially Arch) would be in contact with us about these types of raw & optional features. I would definitely have waited until 6.2.2 before packaging the new kde5 backend. There are still lots of rough edges, including a very ugly general look with most text elements in the UI, if you happen to use fractional display scaling (a bug in Qt 5.11 that needs a workaround, not implemented yet).

Fixed in 6.2.1: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/sho … ?id=122238

Re: LibreOffice Calc 6.2.0.3 (KDE) - Copy/Paste

Stll present in 6.2.0.3 - delete character by pressing backspace in Calc from Libre Office does not work at all. I try to change something in settings, but i'm not able to solve it and i need it fast - because of work. Cant do a work.

This one workjs:

 export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3; libreoffice --calc

but i don't know how to make it permament, because it works only when i open it from terminal.

Edit:. Ok, i found it.

1 Go to

 /etc/profile.d/

2 Edit:

libreoffice-fresh.sh or libreoffice-still.sh

and edit one of theese

# to force a certain look'n feel

#export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen
#export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3_kde5
#export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde5
#export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=qt5
#export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk
export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk3
