[SOLVED] Tron and other Geeky Terminal Fonts

First post!

I've been trying to make my desktop look Tron/Geekish. And I'm looking for a font, but I only have a video to show it. The video is called Daft Punk - Derezzed (from TRON: Legacy) and is shown 34 seconds in on YouTube. As this is my first post, I dare not insert a link, but the video is easy enough to find.

I've scoured font websites under several search terms and have yet to find it.

A couple that I've found and liked are:

Commodore 64
White Rabbit
Xolonium
PCap Terminal

Again, I could post links, but I'll not risk being auto-banned. I'm sure one could easily find them on the net.

Also, if anyone else has come across other fonts that match such description, then please post. One condition to the font is that it MUST be Monospaced! I've found so many great fonts, but they are not uniformly spaced so are useless in terminal.

As long as you follow the code of conduct and only post thumbnails there isn't a problem, I've done this for you so people can see what you're talking about...

Bear in mind that even if you do find the identical font there are a lot of extra effects used to make the video appear as it does...
Curvature of the CRT, interlacing effects and reflections to name the first three that spring to mind.

Have you looked into something like cool-retro-term which emulates some of these properties?

I was wondering if the font even existed or if the arcade game was actually just an animation.

Looks nice, but I'll need to stick with something quite simple and light on resources.

Using it brings to mind the saying careful what you wish for; the font looks awesome, but it has no distinction between upper- and lowercase letters, and it's nigh-impossible to program with or ... read. Such can be said about so many fonts: FontCoolness∝Usability^(−1)

If one chooses to use it, I'd recommend always using the text in its bold form; regular text will be so thin as to not even render pixels depending on the size you set it at:

~/.Xresources:

URxvt.font: xft:Vector Battle:bold:size=9

I'm glad to have it, as I'll likely find a use for it sometime. In any event, I'm still looking for others to try out.

The IBM 3270 font (https://github.com/rbanffy/3270font) might be a good option if you want simple vectors and also need lowercase. It is in the AUR too: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/3270-fonts/

Another very cool font—thank you!

This font inspired me to do a search term under the wording 'computer', and I ended up finding lots of other old-school computer fonts.

Well, like Slithery said, try cool-retro-term, it has many of these fonts already built in. If you dial back the effects a bit it is quite usable for everyday work...
