I have installed the Intel Dual Band Wireless-Ac 9260 in my ThinkPad A485. WiFi works out of the box, bluetooth however not at all. This card has official Linux Support and should work according to the Intel website. Since Bluetooth works fine in a dual-boodet Windows 10 it's no hardware malfunction or wrong wiring.
I'm using the latest kernel
$ uname -a

What can I do about the "failed to send firmware data" on dmesg? How can I go on fixing this?
Best regards

Hi,
I have the same issue.
What i do to Solve it: it appears to be a problem beetween the bluetooth and the wifi modules (see on google). Reboot, go in the bios, deactivate wifi, reboot, check your dmesg, bluetooth should work. Then reboot, go in the bios, reactivate wifi. Wifi and bluetooth should work.
Before to find this solution i had to reset thé bios... Which worked but was longer to apply...
Hope it Works for you, and if you find an easier solution, please post it there.

Hi,
please specify: You have the ThinkPad A485 upgraded aftermarket with the Intel AC 9260?
The steps you suggested do not change anything. Bluetooth is still not working at any time no matter what I turn on and off in the UEFI:
[ 15.831493] Bluetooth: hci0: Reading Intel version information failed (-110)
[ 15.831507] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0xfc05 tx timeout
This is on Kernel 4.19.4 now.

This issue has been solved via a BIOS update Lenovo issued in the meantime. Bluetooth adapter is now recognized and working as indended. Please mark as solved.
