I have a setup where I detach my primary GPU from linux and use it for kvm vga-passthrough. To swap the drivers I use: https://gist.github.com/rokups/8f04e8a3 … 79e72a4896. For the soundcard part of the GPU, I leave it up to kvm to take it and return it to the snd_hda_intel driver afterwards. After starting the VM, and turning it back off the soundcard seems to have the snd_hda_intel driver (checked via lspci -nnk), however it does not show up in PAVU.
Thanks for any responses.
EDIT: Fixed, all I needed to do is echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan before I started back up the UI.

You needed to shorten the title. I did it for you this time, but please remember next time.
