Hi everyone.
I have been experiencing a problem with Chromium when a try to start a video call (i.e. Google Hangouts or Appear.in channel). The browser window turns black and it does not respond to me (but I can close it).
My Chromium version is 69 for Arch Linux 64bit. I have also experienced the same problem with google-chrome and google-chrome-beta aur packages.
Any idea?
Thx.

Hello there,
It might be helpful to execute chromium from a terminal to get more debug data and include it in a [ code ] tag.
Best Regards.

Hello,
Is that the full output or did you truncate it? And where did you retrieve Chromium from?
EDIT:
Can you include output of 'chrome://gpu/'?

This is the full output. I installed Chromium from AUR using yaourt. The packaged is called extra/chromium 69.0.3497.100-1
Thx.

Can you post the output of 'chrome://gpu/'?
EDIT:
BTW, that chromium version is from ArchLinux repository and not from AUR and isn't the latest:
pacman -Ss chromium
extra/chromium 72.0.3626.96-3
A web browser built for speed, simplicity, and securityWhen was the last time you updated ArchLinux?

Sorry for responding too late.

More info related to this problem. When I enter into Skype and access to a new conversation, video and call buttons appear disabled. It's like my browser or system doesn't accept webRTC or another videoconf technologies (the same as appear.in).

Hello there,
Try backing up your profile (eg. by moving it somewhere else, mv .config/chromium .config/chromium.bak), launch chromium with a new profile, is it reproducible ?
Best Regards

Hi.
I did it and everything worked fine. Thanks a lot @bugsmanagement
But when I was reinstalling all Chrome extensions I normally use, I detected that Google Hangouts and TunnelBear Blocker are incompatible!!! You can use it but you have to disable that extension before start a (video)call on Hangouts. Good to know it.
Have a nice day!

Great, can you mark the thread solve by editing your first post and adding [solve], this help a lot other people. Thanks.
EDIT:
For anyone else who stumble on this thread, I had ask to create a new profile because this doesn't seem normal:
GPU process was unable to boot: GPU access is disabled in chrome://settings.Last edited by bugsmanagement (2019-02-19 20:06:30)
