fwupdmgr reboot not working

I have updates pending with fwupdmgr.

Whenever I try

fwupdmgr update

, the firmware gets downloaded, then it tells me to reboot. I accept, but it just reboots into my system normally, and the update does not get applied.

I'm using systemd-boot, and previous firmware updates have been effective. My journalctl has nothing pertinent to fwupdmgr besides the sudo log.

I'm not sure where to go from here. Please let me know if you need any more information.
