Can't turn on sound for pop-up notifications in XFCE

Hi, I've tried to enable sound for popup notifications in XFCE but with no success. I know that other system sounds are working. I double checked by running "canberra-gtk-play -i message" and it worked. I can't get the notification sound to work, though. I checked /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop, but I couldn't find any audio file named "notification" or anything similar, so maybe a file is missing. Do you know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Can't turn on sound for pop-up notifications in XFCE

If you are referring to sound support of notifications (with xfce4-notifyd), it doesn't look like it will be supported any time soon. See: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12418.

If these are notifications that you are creating yourself via notify-send, you can programmatically create the sound notification via something like:

#!/bin/sh
canberra-gtk-play -i message
notify-send Test test
