rab wrote:Thanks, is that OB with gnome? ( everytime I had OB over run metacity I never got the right-click menu )
It looks like he is not running Nautilus (which is responsible for the root menu in Gnome). He could just be running openbox with gnome-panel.
You can change the binary executable in /opt/gnome/bin/ to start nautilus --no-desktop .
Then you can get your right click menu. However this nautilus file will change when you update it.

You can also just bind the ob menu to some other mouse button if you still want nautilus on the desktop.

The easier, and update-proof method is to set the appropriate gconf key
And to stay on-topic:

The usual and least convoluted method is to turn off Nautilus's rendering the desktop in gconf-editor.

Check. This is the method I use.

OMG! How in god's name did you do that? (with screen, I know, but how?) Would you mind sharing your other configs (like .screenrc for instance) ? (I've already got your config from the "colorful console" thread and I don't want your conky file ) and what's that nice little app in your left corner (music app)
Very nice

If you mean like all the different sections, it's a window manager called ion. And the music app is called audacious.

The c: was on purpose... but I should have changed the appearance so it looked like some gtk theme or something.
