Hi everybody,
I've been encountering a really weird issue since friday: my laptop won't shutdown, and it seems to be because of a LVM2 systemd service ("Stopping Monitoring of LVM2 mirrors, snapshots etc. using dmeventd or progress polling...").
My laptop : XPS 9560
journalctl logs from last boot : https://pastebin.com/W8kdzmFm
dmesg logs from current boot : https://pastebin.com/NtWFqy61
boot args (from my /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf) :
acpi_rev_override=5 enable_fbc=1 enable_psr=1 disable_power_well=0 pci=noaer pcie_aspm=force intel_iommu=off iwlwifi.swcrypto=1 nowatchdog module_blacklist=iTCO_wdt rw
Do you have any idea?
Cheers!

Thank you seth, that solved it!
I used both your first topic and this one https://www.thegeekdiary.com/how-to-dis … ntos-rhel/ to fix my problem.
In a nutshell, for those who encountered the same problem =>
The problem is linked to lvmetad, to fix it you need to :
1) Ensure that use_lvmetad is set to 0 in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
2) Stop and disable lvm2-lvmetad and lvm2-lvmetad.socket
3) Rebuild your initramfs to be sure of the changes (in my case: mkinitcpio -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img)
Cheers!
