Upgrading to 5.0. Anything to watch out for?

I'm using dm_crypt and always get this feeling before an upgrade that I'll end up rebooting and lose my data! It's due to lack of understanding on my part, but still... Is there anything I should prepare or make changes to (not just limited to dm_crypt, if any) before upgrading?

I would not upgrade to 5.0 right now, there are far too many problem threads on the forum about it. I experienced the non-functional sound output issue after waking from suspend, who knows what other bugs there are...

So `--ignore=linux` it is then. `pacman -Syu` wants to make a few upgrades. Is it worthwhile holding back the upgrade for mkinitcpio-busybox-1.30 too?

That upgrade should be fine I think. The kernel is the only problem right now.

Install the lts kernel to be less worried about kernel updates.
That said, you may want to pay attention to the lvmetad issue.

How is busybox related here?
