An update to kodi 18 breaks sftp (ssh) support for media data.
kodi 18 has moved some former core functionalities out of its default code base into some addons. One would need to add:

You did not mention https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kodi-addon-vfs-sftp/ which i assume you authored.
As the author please consider pinning to a tag or commit instead of a branch or adding -git as the package suffix and provide a pkgver function.

I missed on the timings you authored the package after you post but had not updated it to note your package creation.
