Hi,
I have been successfully running Plex Media Server without major issues for a couple of months now. This is "standard" PMS access using clients like the Plex Kodi plugin or Roku Media Server.
Today, I decided that I wanted to give DLNA (uPnP) support a try in order to access my media via VLC on my laptop. Unfortunately, vlc does not seem to be able to discover the DLNA server on the network.
I followed the archwiki and opened the listed DLNA ports and also checked if DLNA was enabled in PMS settings. I even tried to open all ports by stopping iptables. But nothing seems to make the DLNA server discoverable.
This is what I cound find in /var/lib/plex/Plex Media Server/Logs/Plex\ DLNA\ Server.log:

Also, I happen to have configured the mediaplexserve.service as it is suggested in the archwiki:
[Service]
MemoryMax=4G
ReadOnlyDirectories=/
ReadOnlyDirectories=/data
ReadOnlyDirectories=/home/myuser
ReadWriteDirectories=/var/lib/plex /tmpI don't know which read-only filesystem the log is referencing to.
Any help, would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello there,
Out of curiosity, which wiki are you referring to?

Arch's wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Plex

Hey, It doesn't seem to me to be from the ArchWiki you've linked to? Is that from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/plex-media-server/?

.
You can see the service file supplied by AUR plex-media-server here
Applying the concepts from Plex#Security and literally copy the entry from Plex#Resource_Management to that service file.
To me it seems possible to generate the snippet TioDuke posted. Although I would much rather the entire service file was posted.

Thank you for your replies @loqs and @bugsmanagement.
I finally found the problem and the solution. The problem was in the client machine and not in the one running plex-media-server: iptables rules on the client machine were blocking incoming connections from the Plex server. As it happens, the server machine receives a connection request form the client, and then tries to establish a connection on a **random** udp port on the client side. All i have to do is create an iptables rule that accepts any incoming udp connection request from the server's ip adress (it is a static adress in my case, so not that difficult to implement).
