[Solved] System takes too long to shutdown/reboot (5.0 kernel update)

Basically what the title says: Anytime I shutdown or reboot the system it takes well over a minute for it to turn off. No timeout text, no weird entries in the journal (errors, warnings, etc), and it's only with the 5.0 kernel: Downgrading to the last 4.20 kernel on my system fixes it, so I switched to the LTS kernel in the meantime for the sake of not having to do partial upgrades.

Since the journal doesn't show anything I've no idea how to debug this or pinpoint the issue, so I'm stumped. If anyone here can tell me where to look or if this is a known issue, please let me know.

Disabled lvmetad (assuming it's just "use_lvmetad = 0"), and that seems to have fixed it... I think. System reboots/powers off so fast it doesn't even display the usual systemd message, at least with the 5.0 kernel (LTS kernel behaves as usual).

Is this normal for the new kernel? 'Cause if so then I'm ready to mark this as solved, but it still feels weird.

Edit: Marked as solved, but I think I'll stick to the LTS kernel for now.
