Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

I didn't have this issue about 2 weeks ago. I haven't changed the configs, only thing that has happened is there have been upgrades to Nvidia and the Linux kernel.

The system is a Nvidia Optimus setup.

Logs: (Let me know if there is more that you need)

/etc/bumblebee/xorg.nvidia.conf : https://pastebin.com/WULYP8Qk
bumblebeed logs: https://pastebin.com/vHJBQ8BE
lspci https://pastebin.com/72DGSp6s
xorg.0.log: https://pastebin.com/wKc06Ht3
xorg.8.log: https://pastebin.com/ZSdciEsn
xrandr: https://pastebin.com/GKB5tzdT

The version of the kernel: 5.0.0-arch1-1-ARCH
Nvidia: nvidia-418.43-5

I am able to use Optirun with the Nvidia card. (glxspheres non-vs with optirun is 68 compared to 688 fps)

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

HDMI seems to be wired to the intel chip(?) but there's no indication of its presence what would imply a failed handshake
=> Try the lts kernel (don't forget to install nvidia-lts as well) and/or try some live distro to ensure this isn't some HW issue.

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

It's worked before. Are you thinking that it could be a newly arrising issue?

BTW That xrandr is of 3 monitors plugged in. (HDMI, Thunderbolt+hdmi)

The screens worked with version: nvidia-415.27-5-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz and the corresponding kernel.

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

It matters *a lot* what the outputs are actually actached to (intel or nvidia crtc) - double failure makes HW less likely (otherwise the flimsy hdmi cables have a tendency to get me swearing)
=> check the older kernel to narrow the issue to the kernel or the nvidia driver and find some old (working) logs to record where the outputs are actually attached.

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

How would we verify if it's attached to the intel chip or the nvidia chip? I've seen doc about that but they never explain how you can tell.

From the xorg logs of a working setup (the server has the drivers polling the outputs) - or some tech sheet ;-)

Now it's gone back to working again. No Kernel change has been made. Sigh.

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

Did you udpate *something*? (check your pacman log)
Also maybe record a "good" xorg log for future reference ;-)

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia are no longer allowing me to see HDMI connections

The only thing I redisabled was:

#    Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration" "true"

In the earlier kernel version it was complaining about that option. At this moment I'm not sure if it was the X server or what. (What packages should I look for in the pacman.log?)

Working Xorg.8.log: https://pastebin.com/9QfHDV5Y

EDIT: I'm not seeing anything that stands out between the two.
