kdiff3 fails with command line arguments

The latest version of KDiff3 (or one of the used KF5 libraries) does not handle command line arguments correctly. If I start kdiff3 with two directories as argument from command line or by right clicking two marked directories in Dolphin, context menu "Kdiff3->Compare" it compares both directories correctly but then it clears the compare results and shows the "Open" dialog again.
Can anybody reproduce this behavior?

Re: kdiff3 fails with command line arguments

I have also started seeing this.  I have kdiff3 configured as my difftool and invoking "git difftool" shows me the status information and the background shows the diff but as soon as I click "Okay" the background shows no diff and I get the selection prompt to select directories.
