[SOLVED] Execute command instead of browser in WINE

i would prefer executing command when link is opened in wine instead of browser popping out

also, it would be best if it worked only for one WINEPREFIX, not for all ones.

Your post makes no sense. You made a script? Where is it?

Re: [SOLVED] Execute command instead of browser in WINE

Define "when link is opened in wine"

Do you mean you click on a hyperlink in some windows application running under wine?  If so that is a windows issue.  If not, please clarify further.

What command do you want to run and when?

When link is open in Windows program running under wine it will execute mime-open which will open a browser, but I want to replace mime with my command.

I’ve got my own script that I want to execute everytime when a http/https link will be opened in wine instead of mime-open

Re: [SOLVED] Execute command instead of browser in WINE

So, definitely an X-Y problem.  You want to change the behavior of mime-open when it is passed a url - this has nothing to do with wine then:

EDIT: wait, by "mime-open" do you mean xdg-open?  Or what is "mime-open"?

If all else fails, just set BROWSER to your script when you run wine.

Yes, I meant xdg-open. I could change it there, but I want to replace browser in only one WINEPREFIX, not in whole system. I believe that this can be done through wine regedit, but I don’t know what registry do I edit.

You should configure Wine Registery to open web pages in wine browser. May you use 'Set as Default' option in your browser.
