[SOLVED] Gnome-mpv tearing in fullscreen

Hi,
I use gnome-mpv as my multimedia player for my Gnome desktop.
I updated my system a few days ago and now I can notice tearing in fullscreen.
The tearing only appears when using CSD under X (it works well with Wayland)
Issue https://github.com/celluloid-player/cel … issues/232 relates this, but it is weird because I didn't have any problem before.
I use an Intel HD Graphics 530 with the modesetting driver.

I know it worked well with Gnome 3.32 a few days ago, so I thought it might be due to a very recent update (mutter, GTK, etc...).
I tried to downgrade gnome related packages (without success).
So, I ended up doing an entire rollback of my machine until reaching Gnome 3.30, and tearing is still there.

Also, I tried both gnome-mpv and gnome-mpv-git, same issue.

Do you have any idea what can cause the tearing?
I can disable CSD, but I would like to understand the problem.

Thanks!

EDIT: found a workaround by installing the extension gnome-shell-extension-disable-unredirect
