[SOLVED] cannot chroot due to LD_PRELOAD error

Hi everybody!

I am trying to chroot into CentOS from Arch and get this error

ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

Here are the steps that lead to this output

[root@hp ~]# mount -t ext4 /dev/sdb1 /tmp/stella
[root@hp ~]# cd /tmp/stella
[root@hp stella]# mount -t proc proc proc/
[root@hp stella]# mount --rbind /sys sys/
[root@hp stella]# mount --rbind /dev dev/
[root@hp stella]# cp /etc/resolv.conf etc/resolv.conf
[root@hp stella]# chroot /tmp/stella
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I checked with pactree

pactree libv4l
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (cannot open shared object file): ignored.

Re: [SOLVED] cannot chroot due to LD_PRELOAD error

echo $LD_PRELOAD
file /usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so
stat /usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so

No idea why it would be preloaded, but that usually doesn't cause segfaults, try "chroot -s" and ensure that you're not trying to chroot into different architecuture (32bit centos)
