[Arch on laptop Dell XPS15 9560 running on Intel Kaby Lake graphics only - no NVIDIA]
Issue:For about two weeks now, gnome shell failures occur systematically (never losing running apps!), whenever I use the Window key [SUPER] to navigate between application windows or workspaces.
Visible symptoms: [SUPER][TAB] and [SUPER][STR][TAB] still work to navigate back and forth in the list of currently running apps.
The error message above appears anyway, as it does everytime [SUPER] is pressed.
[SUPER][PAGE-UP] and [SUPER][PAGE-DOWN] are completely ineffective on the other hand.
When [SUPER] is pressed with gnome-terminal running and its active window occupies the whole screen, what becomes immediately obvious is that the usual action of pressing [SUPER] does not reduce the gnome-terminal window as it used to and as it still does other app-windows. In fact, in that configuration, the gnome-terminal window is marginally cropped (not reduced) and still hides most other windows, making their selection with the mouse pointer impossible.

I am ready to dedicate time to this but I have no idea where to go from here. Tx.

Disable your extensions, or check if upstream has provided an updated version of your extension. GNOME 3.32 has broken most extensions to provide new functionality.

You mean uninstalling both these ?
$ pacman -Ss gnome | grep extension | grep installed
extra/gnome-shell-extensions 3.32.0-1 (gnome) [installed]
extra/libnautilus-extension 3.32.0+5+g73876bdcd-1 [installed]
With the double grep pipes above, that is all I can find.
There might be more, although I keep my system as lean as possible.

No, the stack trace points to https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/ … navigator/ which you likely installed outside of your package manager.

Correct: that it is the culprit.
I never ever install anything outside AUR or bypassing pacman (i.e. core, extra, community, multilib stuff). If I have no other choice I work inside a Docker container.
But it's beside the point in this case anyway.
I used gnome-tweaks to disable Windownavigator and lifted the incompatibility completely.
It's just strange that I did not see any notification of that anywhere, I mean on forums before... Perhaps I need new glasses...
Thanks a lot.
