[Solved] Getting error while starting mysql service.

Starting mysql service gives me the following error:

mysqld[4022]: /usr/bin/mysqld: error while loading shared libraries: libprotobuf-lite.so.17: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If this is actually mysql as opposed to mariadb you have to rebuild the package against the newer version of libprotobuf.

Re: [Solved] Getting error while starting mysql service.

Rebuilding the mysql package solved the issue.  Since no new updates were available for the AUR package repository.  I had to force rebuild the package using  "-f" flag.
makepkg -sif
