Hi,
I am using the great PDF-Shuffler for editing PDFs since many years. Originally it was only in AUR but was moved to the community repo a few years ago.
My new AUR helper now notified me that the pdfshuffler package is missing in AUR - of course. But it is also missing in community - so there is no remote package at all anymore.
It seems the Arch32 project still has it in its community repo: https://www.archlinux32.org/packages/i4 … fshuffler/ (and its actively maintained there)
Does anyone know why it was removed? I can create an AUR package again if there is a reason, but I suspect it was removed by mistake.
Cheers, jussty

It was removed deliberately, in favour of pdfarranger: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/comm … bfabfc6241
You might want to check out the latter, it sounds like it is an active fork of the former.

Interesting. I searched the arch-dev-public mailing list until December last year. It was not announced.
Furthermore shouldn't it have a "provides=pdfshuffler" if it's a fork that replaces it?

Perhaps, check the bug tracker for the package in question and see if there's an existing feature request for that (check closed reports too). If there isn't feel free to create a new feature request and the maintainer may consider it.
