[SOLVED]Bumblebee - Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual

Hello everyone!
This is my first post here. Please let me know if the information i'm providing is incomplete.

System Information:
Archlinux 64-bit (up to date) with GDM and GNOME 3.32.0
NVIDIA GeForce 950M + Intel® HD Graphics 530 (Skylake GT2) [Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz × 8]

After installing bumblebee on my Optimus laptop (NVIDIA 950M + Intel) I'm getting some errors:

[riccardo@riccardo ~]$ glxgears
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual

Running optirun glxgears however works flawlessly.

When opening Steam I get: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display
gedit works, but sudo gedit fails with: (org.gnome.gedit:5269): Gtk-WARNING **: 20:26:55.520: cannot open display: :0

As suggested in other threads with problems similar to mine I have reinstalled the mesa, nvidia, nvidia-utils, xorg-server packages. (both 64 and 32 bit)
