Hi all,
I have been attempting to install arch on my xps 13 9380. On boot, I get the following error:
:: running early hook [udev]
Starting version 241.67-1-arch
:: running hook [udev]
ERROR: device '' not found. Skipping fsck.
:: mounting '' on real root.
mount: /new_root: no filesystem type specified.
You are now being dropped into emergency shell.
sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
[rootfs ]#
At this point, I'm in an sh shell with very few available commands. I have to hold down the power button to shut it off. The /etc/fstab is empty---presumably this is a different file than the one I generated from the bootable USB. I do have AHCI enabled on the SSD. I have it set up to use systemd-boot. I also restarted and tried
mkintcpio -p linux
with no change. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I'm also happy to provide more information.
Thanks!

This looks like your boot loader is incorrectly configured and the root line wrongly defined.
Post your bootloader configuration and lsblk -f.

Thanks V1del! In my arch.conf I forgot to add the options line.

I guess I'm in a forgetful way. Thanks for the reminder!
