Wireless Xbox 360 Controller and Steam

Trying to get an Xbox 360 controller working with Steam on Arch.

So far I have tried Xpad, steamos-xpad-dkms, and xboxdrv. All of these options have seemed to allow Arch to recognize the controller, and jstest-gtk shows it as "Microsoft X-Box 360 pad" Device: /dev/input/js1, however neither steam's controller settings, nor Rocket League seem to detect the controller or its inputs.

I'm at a bit of a loss here. Is there something I need to set for steam to have access to the controller? I have tried both steam beta release, and current, and the problem seems to persist in both.

Thanks!

Re: Wireless Xbox 360 Controller and Steam

So I managed to get everything working, can't say I'm entirely sure which item fixed it, as I did a reboot after the changes.

1. I added my user to the input group
2. I added analog and joydev to a file in /etc/load-modules.d
3. I added a line in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/70-steam-input.rules that matched the others, but with my device's information

Hopefully if anyone else runs into this issue, these notes should help.
