AMD provides some performance and power profiler named "AMD μProf" here: https://developer.amd.com/amd-uprof/
It is offered as .tar.gz. binary. But it looks source files are also available. User Guide mentions: "Installer will create a source tree for power profiler driver under /usr/src/AMDPowerProfiler-<version number>. All the source files required for module compilation is located in this directory are under MIT license."
Does anybody have an experience with this tool?
Would it be possible to make the AMD μProf available in the AUR?
(I would create the AUR packeg myself but I don't feel as skilled.)
According to AMD μProf Release Notes the tool should support CPU Profiling and Power Profiling on Ryzen, Threadripper, EPYC, Carrizo, Kaveri, Mullins, Temash, Stoney, Bristol and on some AMD dGPUs.

Sorry, no experience.
AMDuProf_Linux_x64_2.0.493.tar.gz does appear to have the sourcefiles under the bin directory.
A quick check shows they target ubuntu 16.04 and RHEL 7 .
Compiling the sources against current archlinux software versions will probably be a pita.
A Dkms build is probably the best chance for a working module.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
